Kindergarten Program

PCC will start Kindergarten classes August 17, 2020. USD 497 will start virtual learning on Sept. 8th 2020 for 6 six weeks. On Sept. 28th the school board will be evaluating virtual learning and deciding if it will continue.

USD 497 Educators will interact frequently online with students. Instruction will be based on comprehensive curriculum and include targeted support for student's mastery of knowledge and essential skills, defined by state standards and competencies.

USD 497 Teachers will conference with families virtually the week before school starts.

PCC will work with your child to submit Daily Logs verifying the 6 hrs of learning per day for all K - 5th grade students.

The Center will be open 6:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday.

Social Distancing, Mask Wearing, and Hand Hygiene will be taught and practiced daily.

Every child's learning space and items will be disinfected every day.

Supplies

A tote will be provided to put all of you child's supplies in. Their supplies will be kept here and will need to be labeled with your child's name before it is brought in.

IPads will be picked up from your child's school.

Face masks will need to be provided by the parents to be worn daily.

Health screenings will continue daily on arrival, parents please remember to notify PCC should your child travel out of state or has been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. If Anyone in your household is show signs of illness and/or has a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher please notify the front desk.

A Parent Meeting is scheduled for Thursday August, 13th 2020 in the lobby. During this Meeting we will discuss enrollment, general information, and what is expected of parents going forward.

Please call us @ (785)749-4500 for more information. We are accepting children who are currently enrolled in Kindergarten for 2020-2021 with a county school district. Space is limited.
